Finally, online shoppers do not have to browse through countless sites for the best price of a single item. We recently released the PriceTrace toolbar for FireFox, which is  a Firefox add-on. After installing the toolbar, people can easily access this useful shopping tool, which will allow them to instantly check the price history of products they find on shopping sites with just a few clicks.

The PriceTrace toolbar has a “capture highlight text” feature that automatically inserts into the search bar the item name that consumers highlight. For example, a person who is browsing through BestBuy.com for a new camera can just highlight “Sony Cyber-shot 12.1-Megapixel Digital Camera” and this specific product name will automatically go to the PriceTrace search bar.

Even more notably, this PriceTrace Firefox add-on also features a one-clickTrace the Items on this Page” function, which automatically refers the shopper to the price history of the product. For instance, instead of highlighting “Sony Cyber-shot 12.1-Megapixel Digital Camera” on the BestBuy.com page, the shopper can just click “Trace the Items on this Page” and its price history will automatically open up in a new window. In this case, the shopper will know that Amazon.com offers a better deal for the camera at $164.99 instead of BestBuy’s $189.99. This striking feature works on most large retailer sites, such as Amazon.com, BestBuy.com, Macys.com, NewEgg.com, and many more. For a full list of store supported on PriceTrace.com, refer to http://www.pricetrace.com/storelist.php.

Another useful feature that comes with the pricetrace toolbar is that shoppers can even subscribe price drop alert for the items that they want to buy.  If the price becomes cheaper, an email will be sent to the subscriber.

This new PriceTrace Firefox add-on is a useful time-saving shortcut that online shoppers can use to research the prices of products conveniently. The toolbar can be installed from Mozilla official website at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/13805 or directly at http://www.pricetrace.com/toolbar.php.
